Life Moves Forward – Embracing Change and Ritual
Life never stands still
Life never stands still. Sometimes we wish to pause beautiful moments and savor them longer, but they often give way to challenges, maintaining balance. In a victim mindset, an inner voice may whisper, “Why am I being punished again?”
But life never punishes—it simply teaches according to the plan our Soul chose. Lessons often arrive in unexpected forms, not wrapped in pink with unicorn stickers. They may come with pain and deep realizations, pushing us into our true power.
Life invites us to accept things as they are—no matter how uncomfortable or destructive. To say a wholehearted Yes to life: “I see it, I don’t like it, I don’t have to agree with it, but from my Heart, I accept it.”
Change is inevitable, but growth is a choice. When we recognize that the time for change has come, a ritual becomes a powerful tool. The intention we set is like a torch of Light, guiding the energy of the ritual and creating a profound energetic shift.
A ritual begins the moment we decide to step into it, and things start shifting in the physical world. In ritual, we meet our true essence—our Soul. For the Soul, a ritual is a Portal through which transformation happens.
For me, the world pauses during a ritual, allowing the most profound shifts to occur. We are asked to release the old, even when our logical mind resists. But to ignite the new, there is no other way. The only part of us that fights and clings to comfort is the ego—it wants safety, familiarity, and stagnation.
I know this well. And I also know that when change is knocking and we pretend not to hear, life delivers its own ceremony—through accidents, breakups, or crises—to wake us from illusion. When change calls, we must open the door before it forces its way in.
A Ritual Marks Transformation
Some rituals are meant to be experienced alone or in the circle of our closest friends—the ones who hold space for us, no matter what life brings.
Then there are rituals that call for the presence of family, such as the Welcoming a Child into the Family ritual.
And sometimes, we seek the support of a ceremonialist who holds space just for us, allowing us to be fully present with ourselves. That, too, carries great power.
A ritual defines the transition—it is the doorway we must step through when life shifts. Different life moments call for different rituals.
